Hi there, I’m Flora Mutahi!
My purpose is to support and guide entrepreneurs, particularly in Africa, to unlock their full potential by providing mentorship, insights, and strategies, ensuring they can build wealth, confidently navigate a global marketplace, and make lasting, meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond.
Mission
To empower entrepreneurs, especially women and youth, by equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and practical skills to harness global opportunities, build wealth, and create scalable, impactful businesses that contribute to solving Africa’s challenges.
Vision Statement:
I envision a thriving continent where entrepreneurs lead the way in creating sustainable solutions to Africa's social and economic challenges, building wealth while addressing issues such as poverty, literacy, gender balance, and climate action, shaping a prosperous future for all.
Why I Serve Entrepreneurs—Women and Youth Alike
When I led our local manufacturing association, I saw firsthand how few women were stepping into entrepreneurship, particularly in industries like manufacturing. This realization led to the launch of the Women in Manufacturing program, designed to help women break into a field where they were underrepresented. As I mentored these women, it became clear that entrepreneurship doesn’t come naturally to everyone, but with the right support, they could build solid businesses. I wanted to be part of that transformation.
Serving on the UN Global Compact board deepened my commitment. At the Faster Forward Commitment 2023 in New York (fun fact: I took the stage right after Brad Pitt), I publicly committed to empowering women to scale up their businesses, addressing the gender divide that had not only lagged but worsened due to the pandemic.
Over time, I realized my role wasn’t just to help but to serve—sharing my experience so others could climb higher and move faster. And it's not just about women. Africa’s youthful population is one of its greatest assets, but many young people lack the opportunities to turn their potential into something real. The job market simply doesn’t match the number of graduates each year. Those with the drive should become their own bosses, creating opportunities for themselves and others.
Based on my mission to empower women and youth entrepreneurs, help build scalable businesses, and address Africa's social and economic challenges, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) i support are :
By helping entrepreneurs build wealth through scalable businesses, you're directly contributing to poverty reduction.
Your focus on empowering women entrepreneurs addresses the gender gap in economic participation and leadership.
Supporting both youth and women entrepreneurs fosters job creation, economic growth, and sustainable businesses.
By encouraging innovation and providing strategies for business growth, you contribute to building sustainable industries and infrastructure.
Empowering marginalized groups, such as women and youth, helps reduce inequalities in access to opportunities.
